Thank you for reading our annual report. Our 2010-2011 year was amazing and full. We’ve deepened our work, our members celebrated great academic and personal accomplishments, we’ve impacted the field of education and youth leadership development and we continue to receive accolades for our commitment to providing holistic and evidence-based programs for the young people we serve. Our “Theory of Change” is to provide multi-layered support, guidance, education and love to our membership; to teach them to have self-discipline and form order in their lives; and offer opportunities and access so that they may develop agency. In 2010/2011 we continued to provide services and education that supported our members in their development. — Directors Circle

One of the many “privileges” I have as Board Chair is the opportunity to address the organization and supporters at large. It is true, and I often say, that there are so many other people—staff, other Board members, and members—who are better equipped, informed, and simply more interesting who should share their words. But, on this occasion in particular, I’m thankful for this moment, which is very, very personal, since this year marks my 10th anniversary working with The Brotherhood/Sister Sol. — Paul Butler, Esq.
