On June 14, The Friends of The Brotherhood/Sister Sol presented its annual summer cocktail party hosted by Joy Bryant to raise money for the organization’s summer programs. Held at 320 Studios with over 200 guests, the rooftop cocktail party included a special performance by Grammy-award nominated Emily King and NYC’s Freedom Dance Party DJs – DJ Cosi, Herbert Holler and Marc Smooth.
Proceeds from the event benefitted the summer programs of The Brotherhood/Sister Sol including a 4-week immersion experience in Brazil, summer day camps, environmental education, job training, community organizing freedom school, and arts education for over 300 youth in New York City.
